Where to Trick-or-Treat in West Volusia: Local Neighborhoods to Check Out for Halloween 2026
DeLand, Deltona, DeBary & Orange City Halloween Guide
Halloween is almost here, and if you've got kids, you probably know the routine. Find the costumes, grab the candy buckets, and figure out where you're going before someone asks, “Are we leaving yet?” for the fifteenth time.
Luckily, West Volusia has plenty of neighborhoods worth exploring this Halloween!
Whether you're looking for a traditional door-to-door experience, fun decorations, or an organized community event, here are some local spots to consider for Saturday, October 31, 2026.
🎃 DeLand: Victoria Park, Victoria Oaks & the Historic Garden District
Victoria Park and Victoria Trails are worth checking out for their connected residential streets, sidewalks, and neighborhood walking paths. It's the kind of community layout that makes an evening stroll with the kids appealing.
Nearby Victoria Oaks is another planned residential community to consider.
For something with a little more old-Florida character, explore DeLand's Historic Garden District. With its established homes and historic charm, it's an interesting place to look for Halloween decorations.
👻 Deltona: Saxon Ridge, Arbor Ridge & Lake Baton Estates
Deltona has plenty of residential neighborhoods to explore.
Saxon Ridge offers an established subdivision setting, while Arbor Ridge is another community worth considering for a neighborhood Halloween outing.
You might also check out Lake Baton Estates if you're looking for a residential alternative.
As with any neighborhood, candy participation can vary considerably. A quick check with local residents or community groups before heading out can save you some driving.
🍬 DeBary: DeBary Plantation & Glen Abbey
DeBary Plantation has multiple residential sections and established streets that make it worth investigating for Halloween night. Just remember that certain areas may have access restrictions.
Glen Abbey is another established DeBary neighborhood to keep on your radar.
And here's something fun even if you're not trick-or-treating!
DeBary hosts an annual Spooktacular Halloween Decorating Contest, with residents competing to create some seriously impressive Halloween displays.
The city has published a 2026 map of participating homes, so you can plan your own spooky sightseeing route.

🕸️ Orange City: Oakhurst & Local Halloween Fun
Oakhurst is another established residential area to consider when planning your Halloween route.
For families who prefer an organized activity instead of traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating, check out the Halloween events happening throughout Orange City and nearby communities.
🎉 Bonus: Monsters on MainStreet in Downtown DeLand
