Manufactured Home Searches on the Rise

I have sold a lot of manufactured (or mobile) homes over the years.

I am a believer in manufactured home ownership for several reasons including:

• More bang for your buck
• More options under the price home of a conventionally built home
• Manufactured homes can be VERY nice, often having significantly larger owner suites, bathrooms and kitchens than conventionally built homes.

I regularly counsel my customers to at least consider a manufactured home if they have restricted budgets or if a home on land is a requirement (again, cost-related).

It seems that the rest of the nation is catching on. According to an article from FloridaRealtors.org “Twenty-three U.S. states saw online searches for mobile homes increase 50% or more year to year” and “In Florida, the increase in manufactured-home searches (49%) was close to the U.S. average.”
